Dette fant jeg i en gruppe jeg er med i på Facebook (Single Christian Geeks). Det er på engelsk, men i vår tid bør vel de fleste komme gjennom dette.
Something that's come to my attention that has bothered me about the Christian church community is the idea that the person we're gonna marry is gonna be perfect.
I've seen guys and girls hold their expectations to perfection and this is absolutely ludicrous to every degree. If you and me think we are gonna marry a sinless person that doesn't have problems, then we are deceiving ourselves and we aren't allowing God's grace to get the glory!
Now I'm not saying you should marry a bum either, but the entitled I'm only gonna marry a man or women that is perfect argument or attitude is so hard to deal with.
What I'm saying is, Address everything with love and grace first. Ask Jesus for double portions of those things so you may love your spouse when they do struggle or fall or slip up.
Thank you Jesus that He is perfect and love our significant others in His grace and not our own. ??
